Greetings:

My fundraising page is up and running:  http://www.active.com/donate/trekkingformax

I have tentatively set a July 27 date as the crossing, but that is subject to change depending upon how many people choose Aug. 3 and how many choose July 27.

Counting my blessings,

Connie

Hey Connie, I just saw the newspaper article about you! For others reading this, it's http://tinyurl.com/63odpp and, I think, a cool story.  :)

Elizabeth and I won't make it to Death Valley this summer, as we're taking all my vacation time to hike the Oregon part of the PCT in September. I will be wistful when I know you all are out there! (On the other hand, I don't have to spend my summer going to hot yoga classes and wondering if Portland will ever warm up enough to heat-train in.) It's so beautiful, I know I'll be back before long.

I often think of you when I'm running around the hills, and how you hill-trained on bleachers. You and Max are just made of awesome. Please say hi to her for me, best of luck with fundraising and training, and have a great spring!

Holly,

Thank you so much for the kind words and the donation.  Most of all, though, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support you and Elizabeth gave me up that mountain on the final trek to the finish - I know how tired you were from already crewing Marcia.

I will pass along your "hello" to Max and may our paths cross again.  The PCT is on my radar - have a wonderful time!

Blessings along your trails,

Connie Karras
