Wow, lots of new members here! Nice to see some new blood. There hasn't been much activity on the forums for quite some time. Hope you won't be discouraged by that. There are still quite a number of lurkers. Please feel free to post and use the forums. If a couple people get it started, I think others will follow.

I've been checking in now and then to delete the Viagra ads and nudie pictures, but will check in more often if there is more ligitimate activity.

I'm so pleased to have found this site.  I hope this forum includes L2H trail hikers as well.  I didn't see a hiking category but I'm excited all the same.
So far the information on here is very helpful.  My husband and I are turning in our application this month for the Mt. Whitney day hike at the end of the trip.
We hope to land a date in September but if not there's always the dreaded July :o
Thank you for such a wonderful and informative place to share and learn.

Nice to meet you, DirtDamsel!
"Badwater: elevation -282. Mt. Whitney: elevation +14,495. This forum is a meeting place for all who travel on foot between the two."
Note that we didn't say anything about running. We didn't say anything about having to do it in July. We didn't say anything about racing. We didn't say which direction you travel. We didn't say you have to take the road. And we didn't say anything about doing the whole distance in the same day, the same year, or the same lifetime. It's ALL good!
Anyway, I hope others will chime in. Though I try to talk to everyone, I don't intend for this to be just a thing where I'm the only one responding. Though I would like to help, I can't do it ALL. I certainly don't have all the answers, anyway.
Please feel free to ask question and make conversation. I hope that things will liven up as summer approaches again. I will try to help you in any way that I can.

Oh, and if you plan to do a full Crossing anytime in the July/August window, we still have some award buckles to give out. You just have to document your journey. Think about it!
