Just wanted to mention that I came across another very interesting forum called, "Mt. Whitney, the Sierra Nevada & Beyond." Just go to: http://www.mt-whitney.info to join.

It's for climbers, hikers/backpackers, etc. from all over the country (and some from other countries) who want to share experiences on Whitney, the Sierra Nevadas, and other mountain ranges. I just joined, hoping to learn more about Whitney and climbing in general. Very educational, informative and entertaining.

There are some nice Whitney summit hiking and climbing reports from this past summer. There is some limited information regarding AMS but it's an interactive forum like this one with many experienced mountaineers, so there is the opportunity to post questions regarding altitude training and acclimatization and receive informed responses.
