just back from Memorial Day weekend "training camp"
What a GREAT 4 days!
Nothing formal--just a handful of people getting together to run around in the desert. Someone said we had 111 degrees on Friday, but the temperatures dropped over the weekend, so that heat training was not especially effective. It ended up just being beautiful running weather, so I cranked out a total of about 70 miles, enjoying every minute of it. The scenery around there is AWESOME, no matter where you are!
Anyway, it was wonderful spending a few days with like-minded people, where this whole obsessive-compulsive running thing starts to seem NORMAL.
The weekend was a great boost to my training, both physically and mentally. I'm all fired up to RUN!
Thanks to those of you who were there. It was a BLAST!
Marcia,
Sounds like it was a blast - how I would have loved to have been able to go to that.
I'm glad you found crew and will be making another run at it this year - I wish you the best!
